Surgical Procedures

At Vie Institute we offer a comprehensive range of cosmetic surgical procedures to help you look your best. Your surgeon and Dr Ives constantly maintain their positions on the cutting edge of the dynamic field of cosmetic surgery through regular attendance at national and international meetings and workshops. We are constantly refining our surgical techniques to maximise your results.

All clients interested in cosmetic surgery will routinely enjoy a 30 to 60 minute consultation with our enormously well qualified nurse aestheticians. Moira, Michelle & Kathy will be able to answer any question you might possibly pose about cosmetic surgery. These girls have each had many years Experience working with Dr. McGovern. They will also be able to provide you with information about preparation for surgery, the recovery period, various alternative surgical procedures and the role of non-surgical cosmetic enhancement, not to mention costings. You will recieve a complimentary and comprehensive information pack, and enjoy watching a ten minute videotape specific to your surgical procedure.

If you wish, an appointment to see your surgeon or Dr Ives can then be made. The doctor will take a detailed history, perform the necessary examination, and advise you further as to your surgical and non-surgical alternatives. We believe that an holistic approach to cosmetic enhancement will always provide you with a better result than either surgery or non-surgical treatment alone. Your surgeon will emphasise that cosmetic surgery is still surgery, and carries certain risks which are part and parcel of every surgical operation. These risks will be discussed fully, and you will recieve a checklist of risks specific to your procedure. You may elect to organise your surgical procedure if you are certain of your intentions, or you may chose to consider the information provided at your leisure. Arranging a surgical operation involves such details as signing an operation consent form, the taking of pre-operative digital photographs, completion of hospital forms and the scheduling of an operation date. Some surgical procedures may require additional formalities such as tests of visual acuity and tear production, or the ordering of implants or garments.
