All of the photos that you see throughout our photo gallery are Dr McGovern’s clients; he has performed all of the surgery. We have deliberately put lots of photos on this site, as that’s what you’ve said you wanted! We have tried to show people of all races and ages, shapes and sizes, so that you can see the types of results that Dr McGovern achieves consistently. You will notice that there are not as many facial surgery photos as there are body photos. This is simply because most clients request that their identity be protected. We remove jewellery before the photos for the same reason.
Our photos are not retouched – ever.
You will note that we have tried to keep before and after photos consistent so the true results are shown. The dark blue background is considered the best to use for before and after surgical photos. All “After” photos are taken at between 3 and 4 months following surgery, unless otherwise stated. At this stage swelling has settled and we have a good indication of the final surgical result.
Scars
All of the scars that you see are still fresh and new. Scars take 18 months to fully mature. You will notice that scars vary enormously from one person to the next, everyone scars differently. In general scars on darker skins take longer to mature, whereas scars on fair skin tend to settle very quickly.
If you have any questions at all after looking through our website and the many photos in our photo gallery, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Our staff have been with us for many years, and can help you with any enquiry you may have.
