We have the added advantage of being in a holiday destination, where you can recover in the warmth and beauty of the Sunshine Coast while your friends and/or family enjoy a relaxing holiday.
We realise that it can be difficult organising surgery long distance, and that you may have limited time to spend on the Sunshine Coast, but we do this regularly and we are here to help make everything run smoothly for you.
Initially, we will conduct “virtual consultations”, whereby we correspond by email. We will ask that you complete a series of forms in detail. We will also ask that you send recent photos of yourself. These details and photos are required so that your surgeon can decide that you are a suitable candidate for surgery and the exact procedure you will require. We may also ask for measurements such as weight or girth measurements, your assistance in these matters is paramount to ensure the best possible result.
We would expect to have all details organised well before you leave home. To maximize your time on the Coast, we will organise an appointment for consultation with your surgeon on a Tuesday afternoon and surgery for the following day. We would recommend a stay of at least one week after surgery on the Sunshine Coast, so that your surgeon can check on your postoperative recovery. Obviously, the longer the better, two weeks is ideal in most cases.
