Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is a procedure to remove bulging fat and skin from the upper and lower eyelids. Eyelid surgery can correct drooping upper lids, sagging lower lids and puffy bags around your eyes – features that make you look older and more tired than you feel, and may even interfere with your vision. Dr McGovern and the team at Vie Institute have been perfoming eyelid surgery since 1994. |
Dermabrasion is used to improve the look of facial skin left scarred by accidents or previous surgery, or to smooth out fine facial wrinkles particularly around the mouth. It is also commonly used to treat deep acne scars. Dermabrasion can only be performed on the thicker skin around the mouth, chin and cheeks. The skin around the eyes is delicate and therefore not suitable for dermabrasion. |
As people age, the effects of gravity, exposure to the sun, and the stresses of daily life can be seen in their faces. Deep creases form between the nose and mouth, the jawline grows slack and jowly, folds and fat deposits appear around the neck. |
As we age, our faces begin to show the effects of gravity, sun exposure and years of facial muscle movement, such as smiling, chewing and squinting. The underlying tissues that keep our skin looking youthful and plumped up begin to break down. Soft-tissue fillers, such as injectable fat can help fill in these lines and creases, permanently restoring a smoother, more youthful-looking appearance. |
A forehead lift or “browlift” is a procedure that restores a more youthful, refreshed look to the area above the eyes. It stops you looking tired and unhappy. The procedure corrects drooping brows and improves the horizontal lines and furrows that can make a person appear angry, sad or tired. |

As people age, the effects of gravity, exposure to the sun, and the stresses of daily life can be seen in their faces and necks. A neck lift can’t permanently halt the ageing process, but it can “set back the clock,” improving the most visible signs of ageing by removing excess fat, tightening underlying muscles, and redraping the skin of your neck. A neck lift can be done alone, or in conjunction with other procedures such as a brow lift, eyelid surgery and facelift. |
Ear surgery, or otoplasty, is usually done to set prominent ears back closer to the head or to reduce the size of large ears. |
Rhinoplasty, or surgery of the nose, is one of the most common of all plastic surgery procedures. Rhinoplasty can reduce or increase the size of your nose, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, narrow the span of the nostrils, or change the angle between your nose and your upper lip. It may also correct a birth defect or injury, or help relieve some breathing problems. |
As people age, the effects of gravity, exposure to the sun and the stresses of daily life can be seen in their faces. Creases start to form and tissues grow slack and jowly. Folds and fat deposits appear around the lower face and neck. If your problem is limited to slackness of the cheekbones and heaviness and jowling between the nose and mouth, then a Temporal Facelift may be the appropriate procedure. |
